As a church, we desire to offer a different way of looking at life and faith. This is what Jesus' life and ministry was all about. Often lost in all the amazing things Jesus did, is his compassion for those around him who were hurting, sick or struggling. When Jesus took the time to interact with the least in the society, he showed them they mattered and provided them hope for a better way.

We are a community that seeks to serve those around us in our County and within our own church. God tells us that we will be blessed, but that blessing is not for our own benefit solely, rather it is given to us so that we may in turn bless others. For us, growth in faith is due in part to our willingness to engage with God in the mission he has set before our church in Marin County.

There are two primary ways we see mission happening at BayMarin. The first is through outreach projects. As we serve those in and around Marin County and the world, we demonstrate our love and compassion and become "Good News" –the gospel of Jesus– to them. We understand that we need to earn the right to be heard and our service is one way we begin to earn that right.

The second way we engage in mission is by volunteering our time and talents within the church community. Just as Marin County needs to see our love, our own children, youth and adults also need to see this.

Serving both within and outside our church community are important and if BayMarin is your church home, we strongly encourage you to find a way to engage in this idea of mission. Check out our Outreach and Volunteering@BayMarin pages for more information.
