We currently have two areas of focus in our international missions outreach. We are also looking at the possibility of doing a large trip together as a church in 2007, but nothing has been finalized or decided yet. Read more below about how we are helping and being Good News around the world.
On August 6, 2005, more than 30 high school students and adults got in vans and trucks and headed south to Tijuana for a week long mission trip. Partnering with Amor Ministries, our students and adults built two houses for low income families. Not only were the lives of two families changed, our students learned first hand the blessing of serving others.
In 2006, our high schoolers and alumni, along with adult volunteers went to Tijuana again. We built 3 houses and had a great time serving those who are less fortunate than we are. Finally, in 2007, our high schoolers and adults headed down to Mexico once again, but this time we were in Rosarito where we built 2 houses. |

The other current area of missions focus is in Tanzania. We are involved with a missionary family who work with widows and children providing housing, food and money for educational expenses.
We also provide scholarships for seminary students at a school in Moshi and extension campuses around Tanzania. These scholarships cover tuition and fees, as well as housing and other costs incurred. For reasons of confidentiality, we cannot provide more specific details. If you would like more information, please contact Kristi Durst. |
